...a little bit and it is only a little bit when the discs are wet, but this is hardly noticable,I have not noticed any problems when the brakes get hot and have not found any fade either. There is no adjusting of the pad gap as the pads are wearing down as the Hope mini's are self adjusting and I have found this to work excellent.
I cannot recommend these brakes enough, they ouse quality, they also look fantastic as well. If you are in the market for a brake upgrade then buy the Hope Mini's you will not be dissapointed....

Advantages: cheaper than contemporaries Disadvantages: difficult hoses
...shimano, in using a new 4 pot system have moved into the league usually dominated by Hope. the 4 pot system gives greater power than two pot systems and doesnt overheat easily. the shimano is better than the hopes because it uses two cylinders to drive the pads rather than the one cylinder that the hope uses to drive all 4 pads. the shimanos are also a lot cheaper than other systems with comparible performance, although they need expensive hubs, making them more expensive than the hope open 2s. the braided hoses are bombproof but need to be precut and the levers give superb modulation and good feel....

Originally it was developed by Scott-Mathauser, and was recognised as the finest brakepads available, both for it's superior stopping power and durable compound. Kool Stop was under contract to Scott-Mathauser to manufacture their pads.Kool Stop obtained the rights to manufacture the salmon pads when Scott-Mathauser went out of business. The secret of the pads is that they contain iron oxide (i.e. rust), and work on the same principle as sintering does for discbrakepads. They dramatically improve wet weather braking performance as well as wear.
Features of the Kool Stop Pads
Along with the salmon compound, the pads also feature Kool...
