Advantages: Frame, construction, value, you name it - it's got it.. Disadvantages: probably seems an oldie and unfashionable in these days of FS bikes.
A quick intro here - the CB Spectre is a 7005 Aluminium rigid framed mountain bike, which is in fact manufactured by Falcon Cycles.
The Spectre's 7005 Alu frame is described as a '7005 Tubeset', which usually refers to most of the main construction being of 7005 tubing, which is lightweight and is reputed to share most, if not all, of the strength and rigidty features of a good medium-quality steel frame, and hence is lighter than the steel, but not quite as light as more expensive aluminum alloy construction. In the case of the CB, it uses a frame geometry that gives a kind of strange look that resembles a cross between a trails bike (as in motorcyles) and a jump bike. Where this would almost certainly convince someone that it would be a poor fast-road or commuter bike, it sure suprises you :)
