I bought this tent a year ago in a sale for around £50. Normally I think it costs nearer double that. It is a 3 man tent with a domed living area and a lower sleeping area at the back.

The design is very simple. There are 4 poles in total. Two long poles thread crosswise to create the dome, and then the two shorter poles form the sleeping area. The poles are obviously quite long but the sections are held together with elastic thread so they fold up or snap together very easily. They also bend so for example the two longer poles arc over the top of the dome and are secured by tags at each end. In other words the poles are not secured to the ground. This makes assembly very easy even for one person. Once erected the whole tent can be moved to the best position.

The edge flap of the tent running around the base is then fixed to the ground with pegs.

As mentioned in the other review there is a seperate inner tent for the sleeping area. This is also very easy to set up and simply attaches to the main tent. The groundsheet for the inner tent is very heavy duty and leak proof (unlike the other reviewer said).

As far as weight etc goes, the whole thing folds up (again easily) into its own bag about the size of a normal holdall. It is not heavy.

I found this tent to be lightweight, easily assembled and waterproof and also airy. However because of the way it is designed, during windy weather the gusts will come under the tent. The poles effectively keep the tent slightly raised and even pegging it down thoroughly it is far from air tight. The sleeping area however is very snug having a built in ground sheet.

There are also plenty of useful pockets and loops on the interior. Also there is a window in the roof of the dome and 4 further side windows by the doors.

I was camping alone and found it very roomy. I would say it would be good for 2 people and big enough for 3, just. If you are camping for more than a weekend you might want room to put belongings etc and this is ideal for that. The 'living' area is very spacious.

Any criticisms I have would be:

1. A built in groundsheet for the main area.
2. A fly sheet.
3. Less gap between the tent edge and ground.

All three of the above really relate to the same thing. I stayed nice and dry during some heavy rain, and it dried out very rapidly once the sun appeared.

Recommended.

Length - 438cm
Width - 238cm
Height - 165cm
Capacity - 3 Man
Usage - Family Camping
Weight - 12.80kg

I bought this at a local camping centre (Camping International - near Horsham, Sussex). It is widely available online. It is often possible to get bargains on tents at camping exhibitions, and display items are often heavily reduced.
