Advantages: improved from the other one Disadvantages: 3 years later and there still isnt another
While this game is really good, i cant help thinking how much more they could have done with it.
There has only been two games for the psp one in 2005 and then 2006, and thats where it all stopped.
There was alittle trouble with the licencing agreements and now they have bene bought by codemasters. New f1 games have been worked on in 2008 and there expected to come put somtime in 2009, 3 years after the previous f1 release on the psp.
This game however is still really good even though its quite old. The graphics are great and there are so much more improvements than the 2005 one.
There is now the full 3 rounds of qualifying and the ability to tweek your car a little to get the best times and to get you on pole position. Making it harder to win now is also the random events. this means that a car could crash straight in front ...

As a kid I loved playing F1 on my Playstation - it was a game that would have me sitting up into the wee small hours - had great graphics and gameplay that outstripped anything I had ever played before and when I stumbled across F1 2002 on Ebay for £12.99 I immediately decided to bring back those happy memories and I wasn't disappointed in the slightest by my purchase - it may be old - but this game has a timeless quality thanks to the graphics - sound effects and ultimately gameplay.
There are several game modes as you would expect from an officially endorsed game of this nature - quick race - single player - grand prix mode - custom championship - team mate challenge - full championship - time challenge.
The quick race mode is pretty boring in all honesty as there are only 3 tracks available to race on but it is good ...

Advantages: Graphics are pretty sharp. Disadvantages: Controls is not very smooth. Electronic arts.
,8,16 or races for each race, I usually do 16 laps.
You can also choose all the usual settings like drivers cars, and skill level easy medium or hard.
Because it takes too long doing a full race and gets boring. This mode is more for the F1 purist most other gamers will get bored after about 2 races.
Team mate challenge

This is a mode where you race, but you have to finish in front of your team mate to try to win the championship. This is a fun mode and will increase the lifespan of the game.

Now this is something a bit different again for the F1 purist, this is where you do an F1 championship season but you have to win every race to complete the challenge. This is really tough and to be honest I couldn't do this, because it would bore the life out of me.
