Advantages: Easy to erect Disadvantages: Can be dark inside
The Coleman Savannah is a 6 person frame tent. It has an iside height of200cm high which is ample height for the average family! The tent is a kind of octagonal shape with the bedroom area taking 1 half & living area the other. We found the tent very easy to erect with colour coded steel poles which feed through from the outside of the tent, then legs attatched to lift the flysheet & place the tent in positon ready to be pegged down. There is then ... ...carrying them seperately!
Coleman claim that their tents are rigourously tested to withstand rain & wind & we can certainly vouch that this model has passed. Advantages: easy to put up Disadvantages: not durable enough
a very good tent, easy to put up, can be done in around 20 mins. can stand up in it so it helps when getting changed. holds six so ideal for a family. but there is one problem - do not use it in strong winds!
we went camping, as a family. me, my brother, my mam and dad, my nan and taid. (yes my nan and taid!) so we set up the tent blah blah and to sleep.
3 in the mornin me and my bro were woken up to the tent fallin on us. The pole had buckled ... ...head. We moved to the porch because we couldnt be bothered wake everyone up. When i next woke up my mother was pulling me out from under the tent. The whole tent had collapsed in the wind and rain!
so there we all went, nain and taid and all, packing up the stuff from under the tent, in the rain and after a good soaking got in the car and went home.
so lets just say not the best camping experience! xx ...
