Sondico Coolmax Shinguard
Review of Coolmax Pro Shinguard by
PMBS
Advantages: Strong, safe, very protective and extremely comfortable
Disadvantages: None that I can think of.
...My experience of the Coolmax Shinguards is a little different from most people's as I never actually wear them for football because I don't play! Hopefully this review will still be useful though.
My job involves moving a lot of heavy equipment, most of which is at shin level, and after painfully gashing my shins for the 1000th time I decided to protect them. I haven't been able to find any suitable industrial-type protective guards so I decided to try a pair of football shinguards instead. I have been through many shinguards trying to find a pair that provided sufficient protection but are also comfortable enough to wear for 18-20 hours at a time.
The Coolmax shinguards are my favourite yet. They have a tough protective polypropylene shell and foam padding and are lined with Coolmax material that does a great job of whisking...

Giro Atmos - Look Cool!
Review of Giro Giro Atmos 2004 by
faye_y2k
Advantages: Lightoweight, Looks Great!
Disadvantages: None
...The Giro Atmos makes you look and feel great. The carbon fibre inserts make it very lightweight which makes it go un noticable so you don't feel as if you're riding round with a weight over your head. It uses a RocLoc system to give an adjustable perfect fit around the head. The Atmos has 26 vents which gives it great ventilation to keep your head cool on hot days, along with the coolmax paddings which can be taken out to be washed. It comes with a helmet pod so you can carry and transport your helmet safely. The Atmos is unbelievably light and extremely cool! It may be pricey but it is worth every penny! With this helmet on the market theres no excuses for not wearing one....

expert low's the way to go!
Review of Salomon Women's Expert Low X-Terrain by
Vickytoria
Advantages: Comfortable, quick to break in
Disadvantages: not waterproof, not breathable
...I work in a outdoor shop but I'm not a very outdoorsy person, I'm really fussy when it comes to footwear, and wouldn't really wear walking shoes or boots unless I really have to, Climbing a mountain for example. That was untill the Salomon expert lows came in delivery one day, walking shoes are normally bulky looking and not at all attractive but these are really nice, my ones are light grey, dark grey and black, they have mesh panels and suede panels with a rubber rand around the toe.
The mesh panels are for breathabilitly, but they don't have a breathable or wickable lining, so my feet do get quite hot but a pair of wicking socks like coolmax normally sort that out, the downside of the mesh is that if it rains the water gets in easy as they don't have a waterproof lining, spraying them will make them resistant to water but stepping...
