Good Woodworm Cricket Bat for a Junior/Beginner
Advantages: Value for money Disadvantages: Not the best quality
I recommended this bat to a brother of mine, a beginner, with not much experience of the game. I recommened this bat because of its value for money, as a junior or beginner, you don't want to be paying too much money for a bat, as it is all about fun, and not being too serious.
As for the bat itself, you get what you pay for, you know when you pay around £20 your not going to get the best bat ever, but for a junior or beginner to the game it would ... ...bat my brother bought still exists now, well worn but he still uses it to this day, around a year or two ago when he bought it, he likes it and hes picky!
In review i recommend this bat to all it fits, and i hope this has helped you all in the search of a new cricket bat.

Power and quality for a decent price
Advantages: Good for power hitting, value for money Disadvantages: Not so good for 'touch' players
A few years back, Woodworm were THE cricket supplier. Providing gear to the likes of Andrew Flintoff and Kevin Pietersen, their stuff was in demand from every youngster taking up the game. However, it soon became clear that the company may have bitten off a little more than they could chew with their costly sponsorships outstripping profits. They went under and the brand name has now resurfaced under the ownership of online sports equipment supplier, ... ...from abat such as the Woodworm Satellite, which is more balanced.
However, for £99 - and cheaper if you can find one of the many discount codes online for the SportsHQ, this is a great value, decent quality bat.
I've now gone through my first season with this bat, scoring about 350 runs in 12 matches and it is in great nick - I can see it lasting for a good few years. ...

The Big Kahuna is the sloggers choice
Advantages: huge middle, slick graphics Disadvantages: low quality willow, lacks finesse and pickup
havinng owned the bat for the last two seasons and using it almost religiously in this time i feel my review is a good benchmark for looking into buying this cricket bat. The new kahuna cricket bat was realeased prior to the summer o 2008. The kahuna range is very high profile within cricket with pro players using the range such as Australian captain Ricky ponting. I was drawn to the big kahuna by the promise of a big middle and a huge profile on ... ...i was skeptical at first as it was a rather cheap price of £89.99 which for a big bat is bargain. When the bat arrived i was amazed at the sheer size of the blade itself , people were even commenting on the thickness of the edges and middle. The bat weighed in at 2 pounds and 11 ounzes which is alot of weight to throw around in a bat but when you picked it up it was not a struggle so the intial pickup was very nice. In terms of willow quality the ...

The kookaburra kahuna carnage short handle cricket bat, in my own experience is an excellent cricket bat. It is a good long lasting bat that is light weight and very powerful, I got my kookaburra bat in about Christmas time 2005 and it has had no problems what so ever. This bat a very durable piece of wood and it is perfect for small matches to big county matches or even a good practice. The bat is also very light weight making it very easy to hit ... ...people would think this would break but as I said before the bat is very durable and could easily with stand a large amount of force, Making this bat a cricketers dream, for me it was and still is great to handle and use. the bat is also very comfortable to hold and has great control. ...

Top Quality from Gunn and Moore
Advantages: power, pick-up, balance Disadvantages: the grip does become worn quite quickly.
I have used this bat for 2 seasons now and I have only good things to say about it. The standard I play to is certainly mediocre, yet occasionally when I play shots with this bat I am surprised by the power generated by the bat. I use a 2'7 so it is relatively light and the pick up is very nice. I highly reccomend this product.
The grip is that used only by Gunn and Moore and I liked it the minute I first used it. I play with a very heavy bottom ...
