A rarity but a gem
Review of Ihsan King by gaddy6

Advantages: pick-up, power, distance hitting.
Disadvantages: Rare, premiums in UK very high

...suit all, but the bat ihsan sent me all those years ago when this bat was available was outrageously good. Ihsan bats are made in the sub continent, where a great deal of international players bats are made, so you can be assured that whilst the quality may not be as high as handmade english bats, the price will more than make up for it. So if you could possibly pick one of these up from india or pakistan then the price you pay would be greatly ...
...who will whack a high premium on these bats. This bat is the stereotypical sub continent bat with a low middle and a large bowed blade that accentuates driving power. The pick is made heavier by the swell towards the toe of the bat but the balance is sufficient that you dont notice this too much. All in all this is a fantastic bat, although it is not widely available anymore, but if you can find one and its not too expensive i would recommend getting ... Read review

Not a rocky bat
Review of Ihsan Rocky by chaos_321

Advantages: super middle,powerful
Disadvantages: too heavy for some

...it more durable. The Ihsan Rocky bat is a powerful bat and is also heavy, close to 3lbs, the side of the bat is very thick, which makes it very powerful. Due to these qualities of the bat the Rocky is hard to control, which is why i put another grip on the bat to try and strike a balance between handle and bat. Compared to other bats that i have used like the Hunts county Insignia and the Ihsan hi-lux this bat is much heavier than them, but im ...
...a heavy one. The Ihsan Rocky is the most powerful bat i have ever used which is why it has a super middle, so you don't have to use much force to hit the ball over the boundary. The weight of the bat makes it difficult to hook and pull the ball, but it's much easier to cut and drive the ball with this bat. The design of the bat makes it look like it's made for the big hitters, like the length of the handle which is not long, the face of the bat ... Read review

Cricket anyone?
Review of Slazenger Super by beanie8844

Advantages: great bat, you can hit the ball miles
Disadvantages: could be seen as quite heavy

...the back has a large slazenger panther which runs the length of the bat - this is black and has slazenger written all over it in shinny writing. It was handmade in England of natural willow and features a short handle design; but as I mentioned earlier you can buy bats in virtually any size. Of the 'V Series' you can get bats in V100, V200, V300, V400, V500, V600, V800 and V1200. Typically, the larger the number the heavier and more powerful the ...
...As cricket makes go Slazenger a relatively new - they haven't been around for as long as Readers or Gray-Nicholls for example. However, this hasn't stopped them from producing lots of top class equipment. As far as i'm aware they do every type of cricket equipment, but specialize in bats. I certainly have no complaints with the bat the I purchased and would definately buy a Slazenger again. ... Read review

Puma Ballistic 4000
Review of Puma Ballistic 4000 by martin0201

Advantages: High quality cricket bat
Disadvantages: Little pricey

Puma Ballistic 4000 The Product This is a cricket bat, made by the Australian based manufacturer Puma. Puma make all sorts of sports equipment, but have only recently moved into the manufacture of cricket bats. They have, however, exploded onto the scene and are now amongst the most popular manufacturers. This particular bat is a Puma Ballistic 4000. All the Puma bats come in a series of grades, 5000, 4000 and 3000. Therefore, the ...
...of all the Puma bats is so high, this is like a high grade bat from any other producer. The Ballistic is characteristic for its thick edges and enhanced sweet spot, making it a bat for players of power rather than precision. The 4000 model is made from Grade 1 English willow, the highest you can get. The only thing that differs from the 4000 to the 5000 is that the 5000 is lighter pressed, and therefore has greater power. I plumped for the 2lb ... Read review

Beast.
Review of kookabura little beast cricket bat by Mo_soofi

Advantages: Good price!
Disadvantages: Low middle

Well this cricket bat is an australian cricket bat. It a small one and is mainly for kids who tryin to learn the game. The bat will not need much maintenance as it is not made out of the best willow, because it is for kids. The bat is an dieal way for young kids to start up with cricket. This bat is definately a quality make and is used by many great player like sri lankan keeper Kumar Sangakarra. The bat will not need oiling or will not take too ...
...is that it has a low middle. For people who don't know what that means, it is the part of the bat where the ball shud be aimed to be hit with as it is where the most wood is present. The reason why this isn't good is because pitches in uk are more bouncy and u will usually want a bat with a higher middle to make best contact. In Australia the ball tends to stay low and thats why a bat with a low middle is needed. these conditions have to be taken ... Read review
