Laver and Wood - Private Bin
Advantages: Ping is as good as they get. Very durable. Disadvantages: This must be a trick question.
...The specs I gave Mr. Laver were as such :
Weight : 3 lbs
Standard Blade
Short Handle
Double Grip
Normal and High Sweet Spot
I asked Mr. Laver to have the bat fully knocked in and oiled. I did ask Mr. Laver whether the `fully knocked` in option really meant that it would be knocked in and ready to use immediately since you get stickers saying `ready to play` on many of the bats today. He said it would be ready to play straight away. I received ... ...The ping is amazing!! Mr. Laver makes the bats and presses them in such a way as to customize the shape and performance of the bat in accordance to the individual`s needs. If one has a favourite bat and would only want the same specs as that bat, just send it in to Laver and Wood. You will get an EXACT copy (as far as the weight and physical dimensions are concerned). Only difference would be that your Private Bin would have a ping like the bats ...

Good Woodworm Cricket Bat for a Junior/Beginner
Advantages: Value for money Disadvantages: Not the best quality
I recommended this bat to a brother of mine, a beginner, with not much experience of the game. I recommened this bat because of its value for money, as a junior or beginner, you don't want to be paying too much money for a bat, as it is all about fun, and not being too serious.
As for the bat itself, you get what you pay for, you know when you pay around £20 your not going to get the best bat ever, but for a junior or beginner to the game it would ... ...bat my brother bought still exists now, well worn but he still uses it to this day, around a year or two ago when he bought it, he likes it and hes picky!
In review i recommend this bat to all it fits, and i hope this has helped you all in the search of a new cricket bat.

Power and quality for a decent price
Advantages: Good for power hitting, value for money Disadvantages: Not so good for 'touch' players
A few years back, Woodworm were THE cricket supplier. Providing gear to the likes of Andrew Flintoff and Kevin Pietersen, their stuff was in demand from every youngster taking up the game. However, it soon became clear that the company may have bitten off a little more than they could chew with their costly sponsorships outstripping profits. They went under and the brand name has now resurfaced under the ownership of online sports equipment supplier, ... ...from abat such as the Woodworm Satellite, which is more balanced.
However, for £99 - and cheaper if you can find one of the many discount codes online for the SportsHQ, this is a great value, decent quality bat.
I've now gone through my first season with this bat, scoring about 350 runs in 12 matches and it is in great nick - I can see it lasting for a good few years. ...

The Big Kahuna is the sloggers choice
Advantages: huge middle, slick graphics Disadvantages: low quality willow, lacks finesse and pickup
havinng owned the bat for the last two seasons and using it almost religiously in this time i feel my review is a good benchmark for looking into buying this cricket bat. The new kahuna cricket bat was realeased prior to the summer o 2008. The kahuna range is very high profile within cricket with pro players using the range such as Australian captain Ricky ponting. I was drawn to the big kahuna by the promise of a big middle and a huge profile on ... ...i was skeptical at first as it was a rather cheap price of £89.99 which for a big bat is bargain. When the bat arrived i was amazed at the sheer size of the blade itself , people were even commenting on the thickness of the edges and middle. The bat weighed in at 2 pounds and 11 ounzes which is alot of weight to throw around in a bat but when you picked it up it was not a struggle so the intial pickup was very nice. In terms of willow quality the ...
