Advantages: Affordable, Realistic action, Sturdy, Comfortable Disadvantages: Bulky, Noisy
...an affordable price range. The V-Fit is a sturdy rowing machine equal to many higher priced machines. The resistance is by air which provides a realistic rowing action. The seat is fairly comfortable and the foot pedals are large enough to accommodate the bigger sized shoe with Velcro straps to hold feet securely. The overall action is smooth and the pulley system has a chain rather than a belt (which can become frayed as the one on my old hydraulic ... ...manually changed but increases as your speed increases (which increases the machines noise), there is also the problem of keeping the machine in the one place as the harder you row the more it moves due to the wheels at the front. The machine is fairly large more so than most other home machine rowers, but can easily folded in half. It also has the basic display functions you would expect to find like speed time distance calorie count, strokes per ...

cheap product but false economy
Advantages: comes with everything needed to assemble, timer is useful Disadvantages: poor quality design
This is one of the most affordable rowing scullers on the market but unfortunately it's poor design makes it one of the worst. The main problem comes from the way the hydraulic arms are attached to the frame. Within 3 weeks of purchasing this product a bolt holding one of the arms to the base sheared in half. Having replaced that the bushes on both arm attachments have disintegrated, yet another thing to replace. Not such good going after only a ... ...plus side the computer it comes with is useful to keep track of your timing and the seat is comfortable. The assembly is also straight forward and everything is included (down to the spanners). The plus points are fairly insiginifcant when the product breaks (and I won't be surprised if it continues to do so). Generally this isn't a very good quality product and it would be worth paying a little extra for one that won't break. ...

not the best rower but does the job
Advantages: not too big, good diplay, comfy seat, smooth rowing Disadvantages: low resistance, feels week above 90kg
This rower in my opinion is ok, feels a bit week if you weigh more then 90kg, with regards to the resistance I did not find a big difference between the easiest and the hardest so if you are looking for proper rowing to practice in off-season or are used to concept II type rowing machines, I would go to a shop that sells this and try it before committing to buy. For home training its excellent, for women, small men or young adults is perfect. Otherwise ...

Fluid Rower has really developed my muscle and fitness
Advantages: cheaper than a concept 2, can be stood on its end to save space. Disadvantages: you need to fill with water !!!!
I have been looking at getting fir after suffering with a bad back. Wanted something that I could use to exercise my whole body. I dont really care for swiming so looked at various fitness and gym equipment and settled for a indoor rowing machine. I like the fluid rower as it made a really nice swishing sound as you row as the resistance is water based. As you row you getting the sound of water almost as if you were at sea. The build quality is very ... ...together, before I had made my purchase I had watched several vieos on utube and also did a lot of research. For detaild information check out fluid-rower.com where you can download all the instruction manuals all full specs. I like the electronic readout and you get set distance stroke per minute, 500m time and also calories burnt etc. The seat is very good and doesnt hurt your bottom at all, I have size 11 feet and the foot plates you rest your ...

Goes Rusty
Advantages: Quiet, good basic range of training sessions Disadvantages: Goes rusty
...after buying and having the Life fitness people install the equipment, some of the external screws went rusty. The Life fitness repair person said oh yes you need to lacker these as sweat is quite corrosive to the metal. Unfortunately I was not told this when it was installed, they are not done automatically by the manufacturer. He was instructed by his supervisor that he was not to replace them. There get out - apparently a dehumidified out-house ... ...the screws that went were right in line for this. Other equipment from other manufacturers has not suffered in the same way. Given the Life fitness attitude, if you can avoid them do - I bought about 5000 pounds of equipment from them and this is how I was treated. ...
