The King of Exercise Bikes?
Advantages: Excellent range of functions, comfortable, easy to use Disadvantages: I think its a touch expensive at £200
...for home use. Unfortunately the York C201 fits into that bracket, needlessly expensive to achieve the same results as much cheaper bikes.
Here is the reason for my annoyance:

cycling but going no where
Advantages: great excercise Disadvantages: uncomfortable seat
This excersise bike is great for the price, it has a sensor in the hand grip that monitors your pulse wholst you are on the bike, has a screen which is quite big so very clear to see that you can check what your pulse is, how far you have cycled, calories burned and how long you have been on the bike. There is a black dial further down from the handle bars that allows you to change the resistance at the same time as riding the bike so you can make ...

Fluid Rower has really developed my muscle and fitness
Advantages: cheaper than a concept 2, can be stood on its end to save space. Disadvantages: you need to fill with water !!!!
I have been looking at getting fir after suffering with a bad back. Wanted something that I could use to exercise my whole body. I dont really care for swiming so looked at various fitness and gym equipment and settled for a indoor rowing machine. I like the fluid rower as it made a really nice swishing sound as you row as the resistance is water based. As you row you getting the sound of water almost as if you were at sea. The build quality is very ... ...together, before I had made my purchase I had watched several vieos on utube and also did a lot of research. Goes Rusty
Advantages: Quiet, good basic range of training sessions Disadvantages: Goes rusty
...after buying and having the Life fitness people install the equipment, some of the external screws went rusty. The Life fitness repair person said oh yes you need to lacker these as sweat is quite corrosive to the metal. Unfortunately I was not told this when it was installed, they are not done automatically by the manufacturer. He was instructed by his supervisor that he was not to replace them. There get out - apparently a dehumidified out-house ... ...the screws that went were right in line for this. Other equipment from other manufacturers has not suffered in the same way. Given the Life fitness attitude, if you can avoid them do - I bought about 5000 pounds of equipment from them and this is how I was treated. ...

A decent in-front-of-the-telly magnetic exercise bike
Advantages: Low cost magnetic resistance bike, pretty sturdy for the price Disadvantages: Seating position not necessarily the most comfortably, not great for shorter people!
My previous exercise bike of many years (mostly used as a clothes horse, but more recently brought into service in a determined attempt to get fitter and thinner) recently broke. Specifically, its resistance strap wore through and the ride became more like freewheeling down a hill than anything more energetic. With this in mind I decided to go for a bike with magnetic resistance. I settled on this one as, not only did it fulfil my criteria of a magnetic ... ...was also foldable, and storage space is an issue in my house. As is usual in my reviews, I'll discuss my reasons for my ratings in the 'Specific Criteria,' and include and extra section of general comments. Durability At £79.99 (when I bought it) this was the cheapest magnetic resistance bike I could find, which didn't fill me with high expectations about the quality of the product. I'm pleased to say that I have been pleasantly surprised- ...
