I've Got Soft Balls!

Advantages: Extra distance with the driver. Excellent control and spin. Well priced high performance golf ball for the average golfer.
Disadvantages: Meaningless advertising.

have we never heard of them before? For decades they were content to simply rake in the massive profits from the sale of Dunlop golf balls, and it's only in the last seven years or so that they have began to market golf balls and clubs using their own brand name of Srixon. They were actually the first golf ball manufacturer to pioneer the use of soft balata rubber in the manufacture of golf balls when they brought out the Dunlop Maxfli Balata HT ball, which until Titleist caught up a couple of years later was without question the ball of choice of all better golfers. I used the Maxfli Balata ball successfully for many years. ~ ~ There were two major problems with balata golf balls. Have You Hard Or Soft Balls?

Advantages: Cheap to purchase. Virtually indestructable. Travels a long way.
Disadvantages: Hard to control, with little or no spin control.

Review of Srixon Distance Golf Balls

Nike Golf 1 Black Balls

Advantages: Solid with god feel
Disadvantages: No better than Pro V 1's

I used the balls for the first time several weeks ago and they were ok. They are no better than Pro V1s or Srixon ZURS however there is deffinatly no noticable difference that thay are clearly worse. The have generally good feel around the greens and are very nice to put with. They are solid golf ball with and of a nice weight, and when struck well they feellike they bomb off the tee. If they were about £5 a doz cheaper than ProV's then i owuld probably use them all the time. So if you like balls that feel solid with a good feel then these balls will suit you. However with them being a similar price to Pro V 1's I see no clear advantage that they have over them, so I will stick with the Pro V's. ...
