This happens to be the first, the very first karabiner that i ever bought and i've been through so many over the last 13 years that it amazes me how krabs have evolved from cumbersome bricks of metal into small, nimble and light devices.
The tru-screw from DMM can be picked up cheaply and is a first-class karabiner that is perfect for anything other than direct belaying as it is not large enough to support a belay device when belaying, for that you need a HMS karabiner.
It is palm-sized, my one was in blue anodized to prevent rusting and it feels very very solid it one's hand. Fairly heavy, especially compared to a wiregate, but then this is needed for that added security and reassurance when climbing.

I hope the title didn't scare you but I felt it was time to talk about my pet Boa Constrictor and the general caring of snakes. As I'm sure many of you are aware, having a snake as a pet is not exactly the ideal pet to own. I mean you don't get the loyalty and companionship that you get with a dog nor can you house train it. Whoever says reptiles don't show any emotion have got it completely wrong as mine does, not in the sense that it wags its tail when its happy or purrs at you while you stroke it but most snakes in general will hiss at you while they are shredding their skin or if they do not wish to be touched.
Luckily my snake is very tame and loves to be handled by everyone (that's if they dare touch it), the only time it gets angry is when it shreds and really this is the time all snakes should be left alone without any ...
