This happens to be the first, the very first karabiner that i ever bought and i've been through so many over the last 13 years that it amazes me how krabs have evolved from cumbersome bricks of metal into small, nimble and light devices.
The tru-screw from DMM can be picked up cheaply and is a first-class karabiner that is perfect for anything other than direct belaying as it is not large enough to support a belay device when belaying, for that you need a HMS karabiner.
It is palm-sized, my one was in blue anodized to prevent rusting and it feels very very solid it one's hand. Fairly heavy, especially compared to a wiregate, but then this is needed for that added security and reassurance when climbing. Easy to operate with one hand, its particularly suited to traditional climbing at crags. My has seen me through the years and taken quite a few falls as i was learning the ropes, so to speak, and other than some scratches it works as smoothly as when i first bought it.
This is a great piece of climbing gear and should a given real consideration.
