Advantages: Great acting and story Disadvantages: None
I have wanted to see this film for a long time. I had seen all the awards it won and also heard a lot of good things about it from people I know. I finally got to see this film this week and I certainly wasn't dissapointed.
The film is based in India around the life of a boy called Jamal Malik (Dev Patel). It begins showing him being tortured to try and get him to confess to cheating on the Indian version of who wants to be a millionaire. Jamal is insistant though that he didn't cheat. The police cannot see how a eighteen year old who works as a tea boy at a phone call centre ended up on the show and answering all the questions correctly. The film then goes to show flashbacks of his life which reveal how he did know all the answers. It shows his life in Mumbai in the slums where he grew up. It also shows his relationship with the two ...
Advantages: Great film, great plot! Disadvantages: Prehaps not for everyone!
I often find that when a film has had a lot of hype, by the time I get around to watching it I find it inevitably disappointing, this has happened with no end of films, such as ?Borat? which after a month or so in the cinema, I ventured to see it, only to have heard half the jokes, and found it mediocre at best. So I was quite worried about watching ?Slumdog Millionaire?.
It had received great reviews, and managed to scoop up 8 Oscar?s, 4 Golden Globes and 7 BAFTA?s, all in all it was supposed to be a great film to see. It was released in the cinemas at the beginning of January, so I thought it was about time to see if it was as good as everyone was saying, or whether I would be disappointed.

The daiwa supercast is an excellent rod, i have been using the STS13PM for all my beach fishing. It is capable of casting 6oz and mackeral flapper with ease. The STS13PM is rated at 4-8oz and is ideal for areas with a strong tide.
The bite detection is also very good, on the STS13PM it has a stiffer tip which allows more sensitive bite detection in flood tides. However ...
Maybe the fact that when the freespool is on you have to turn the reel handle a full 1/2 a turn to engage the clutch. Can be a bit daunting when you first start using the reel and your used to picking up the rod and striking before reeling in. (*)
