In my opinion, the membership fees of the David Lloyds in Finchley are rather extortionate considering the location is surburban and it's a longstanding community gymnasium.
Although the facilities are extensive, the membership team do not offer fee structures for possible savings based on whether members are local or have ben referred by an existing member. There is no mention of savings potential through corporate schemes either. Upon contacting the venue, (via head office since the online Enquiry Form received a zero response) an invitation is extended to meet with the manager and full prices are quoted on the telephone, with no offer to discuss savings or negotiate prices. The incentive to attend any meeting is therefore lost.
£96.75 per month, per person + £25 joining fee and £25 setup fee!! (This is the couple membership fees, which I've been told is less than the individual fees).
I suggest that the membership team offer sensible discounts to ensure clients who are considering their gym, receive all the savings information in advance of any meetings offered.
