They closed down the main swimming pool in the entire month of August over school holidays and didn't even put a notice up. Me and my daughter got changed and ready to dive in only to find the pool's doors closed. Not a single sign all the way up there. Worst day of my life with a screaming upset toddler.
We only ever used it for swimming so I thought I was right to ask for a month's refund at least. They didn't even bother replying. So I cancelled my membership without giving the 3-month notice.

Advantages: 12 min walk from Raynes Park station 7 min from W. Chase. Ample parking Disadvantages: Expensive, classes often full,
...am a member of the David Lloyd Clubs - Raynes Park and have been very disappointed that the pools and spa facilities are too often closed and out of action. When open, only 1/2 the pool is available for laps (which gets very crowded in the evenings) and the other 1/2 of the pool is for people to stand and chat and children to play, even during peak times.
Another concern is the booking system for fitness classes which, by the time you have got through ... ...No towels are provided to members unlike other Wimbledon clubs.
The gym has got a good range of equipment and sufficient machines. The music in the gym is repetitive and there is no choice of channels to watch during your workout.
There is a 3 month lock in clause in the contract.
My advice join a different club... ...

...have been members at the David Lloyd Health and Fitness club for several years now and we would recommend it to anyone. The facilities are excellent, they include a spacious gym/ftness studio packed with aerobic equipment and weight machines, two swimming pools (one indoor and one outdoor), lots of tennis courts and a comfortable bar/restaurant area to relax after your workout. There is plenty of carparking available and a sports shop near the main ...
