***Why TPEC?***
I've tried a couple of other local stables, but they tend to have very young or disinterested instructors and not such good facilities. TPEC offers excellent facilities and some mature instructors with a good degree of professionalism.

In addition, after some perserverence I seem to have had some success and been placed with an instructor on a regular basis. As expected, I think this is helping my progress, as the instructor is able to analyse my riding and suggest changes to aid improvement.

...Brampton Stables is a super business and a great place to learn to ride. Much of my review will be written based upon the stables as a riding school however they also offer a full livery service for those wishing to keep their horses there and while I have to endure an annual nag fest from my daughter regarding her wish to own a horse I have so far resisted based on the fact that it is rather expensive and very time consuming even if you opt for a full livery service. Both my children have learnt to ride at the stables under a succession of trainers and coaches and the have improved considerably especially when I compare their progress with the previous stables that they went to.

Advantages: Stunning views, well trained horses, friendly hosts, amazing value for money! Disadvantages: Very hot in summer! Take lots of suntan lotion!
...of absolutely nowhere, and that you've stepped back in time, and when you're riding thru the desert you really feel like you could be in one of those scenes on the Clint Eastwood films....in fact i rode thru the exact same valleys which he rode thru in the good the bad n the ugly!!!! It was fantastic, i even recognised it off the film....it put hairs up on my arms!! They film loads of stuff round there and you cant blame them really. The landscape is really diverse. You can be riding thru cactus fields one minute, then up a rocky mountain path, then galloping across a vast flat mountain plateau, then going thru salt flats surrounded by these big imposing mountain ranges..then plodding thru little winding paths in between the fields past tumbledown old fincas and the old abandoned emerald mines, then you can be riding thru the big canyons they have...
