Advantages: Superb looking and repectable brand Disadvantages: slightly uncomfortable ride
...I must admit this bike is by far the best I've ever had even if it isn't perfect. I recently brought this bike for around £500 and although I've never looked back as to be honest I've got a bike from one the the most respected bike brands in the world.
So far I've only used the bike off road once and i must say i was reasonably disappointed. This is because a felt the 4 bar linkage system suspension was rather disappointing. When i ride this bike on the road the suspension is very capable of providing a ver comfortable ride however if like me you like to cycle off road now and then I must say this bike is not made for it.
That however does not mean this is poor diamondback as that is just not possible. It looks absolutely fantastic and for £500 i don't think you will get another bike from a brand with this much respect with Manitou 6...

Advantages: Great to have a bike. Disadvantages: Can be price if you want quality
...As all the title says here is Top Touring 2000. I am not entirely sure what it is about. Is it about the bikes? The tour itself? Or what? Anyway. Here is my account of touring through Switzerland and Germany.
I have been a bit of a bike nut as you may have seen if you've read "The folding london experience" about the folding bikes. So I decided to spend big and doled out about 1000 pounds for my OCR Beastie. It is about 12kg, 24-5 pounds, and discbrakes, shimanu 105 gear system, the works. So I decided to give it a wirl.
Here's an account from my diary......
(The mileage/kilometerage! starts at 215km, as that was what my computer read from day one!!)
Day 1 215km - 305km , ( 90km )
Bazel was great, found a good map for cycling. People looked funny, buildings huge. Felt great to stretch my cycling legs again. Rolling...

Advantages: Light weight, easy care, comfortable seat, easy change gullets, looks good Disadvantages: A bit slippy on my low-withered pony, hard to fit to her shape
...Wintec saddles are made by Bates Australia, founded in 1934. They originally produced synthetic saddles for racing, but over the years this has evolved into a wide range of saddles for all sorts of disciplines.
The saddle I bought was a Wintec 2000 All Purpose back when I was breaking in my new forest pony. It is made with 'Equisuede', a convincing synthetic suede material that does not get slippery when wet and helps to keep the rider in position with its grippy capabilities. Equisuede is a quick drying material and is not damaged by wet weather.
The Wintec 2000 also has adjustable knee blocks to help provide more support, real leather girth straps, two brass dee rings for attaching saddle bags etc, and the 'Easy Change Gullet System', so you can change the width of your saddle if your horse changes shape. The manufacturers...
