I was horrified at the rude service I received from the receptionist at Ditchling Common Stud. I would advice anyone who expects some customer service to avoid this place.
The receptionist was rude and confrontational. She told me I was going to miss half of my lesson if I was late when I was stuck in traffic. When I arrived only a few minutes late she was curt with me asking why I had arrived on time and said my instructor was teaching for another 20 minutes anyway. It should have finished there but this woman seems determined to have an argument.
What should have been a pleasant riding experience was marred by this woman who even after my lesson shouted through the door that there was no point complaining, she had already spoken to the owner.
For £37 per lesson I would expect better. There are plenty of riding schools who will treat paying customers as such and give you an enjoyable riding experience. This was disappointing as the horses and the instructors were great.

What a disgusting experience. Some customer-facing employees obviously forget that the purpose of having customers is to help pay their wages and therefore customers should be treated as a valued asset rather than a nuisance.
