Basically I'm not sure how long they live but they do work well, saving the purchase of new tubes and repair kits, its worth a punt at £4.99 to see if they work for you.
Unless something drastic happens I cant see they last any less then normal tubes unless the ... ...solid in the tube.
Not much can really can go wrong with this advance in rubber cycling technology, so I highly recommend these even from a safety point of view your tyre is less likely to pop.

How it works
Basically within the rubber tube there is some fresh air reactive slim, that when punctured the slime oozes out of the whole and reacts to the fresh air.
This then hardens the slime and you don't have to drag of your wheel and doctor the hole in your tube, it save a lot of hassle.
There are two main types dr sludge, which I prefer and slime, they both do the same job in the same way but I find dr sludge better.
The future
Basically I'm not sure how long they live but they do work well, saving the purchase of new tubes and repair kits, its worth a punt at £4.99 to see if they work for you.
Unless something drastic happens I cant see they last any less then normal tubes unless the flubber inside decides to combust or something rapid like turn solid in the tube.
