...I have fly fished for many years now (not going to say how many as it makes me feel old!) and I have used, abused and thrown away more floating lines than I can remember. Until now I bought my first Snowbee line 5 years ago just as they started hitting the market. I had used many brands of lines up until then - Cortland, Lureflash, Airflo and was currently using a Shakespeare Worcestershire, and then I bought this 'new' line from a company who, at the time, mainly made waders The lines were simply called Snowbee Prestige lines then. At the time, the Prestige line felt good. Easy to cast, shot through the rings well and was reasonably durable. ...of lower-priced hydraulic brakes as an alternative to the BB7s, check out a set of Hayes HFX-9s or Avid Juicy 5s - both brakes offer quality hydraulic stopping power for only a little more money than the BB7s. Durability: Avid utilizes a series of seals on the BB7 calipers that keeps dust, grit, and mud out of the assembly and, as a result, I had no major issues with the Avid BB7 calipers during the product test. While I'd like to see greater durability from the pads - some sets of pads lasted a couple of months while others had a much shorter lifespan - the brakes themselves functioned the same on the first day I mounted them as the day I wrote this review. Advantages: Best proven baitrunner on the market, rear drag switch...
Disadvantages: Not that I am complaining off. Maybe a free spool would be nice.

...Recently purchased ny second shimano baitrunner. Had a smaller one (3500 series), love it and not get a biggie (6500 series) for sea angling. This baitrunner had been around for so many years, yet the design has not evolve much. mainly due to it was already perfect as it is. Black, squarish, there are no phisical attraction, but functionality and the power that it hold make it all worth it and I can't think of any better model to replace this baitrunners. Any size is good. I would recommend a 3500 as that is what I use most. 4500 would suit sea fishing and 6500, I don't know why I bought it, maybe because I like this model very much. Those who has not experience baitrunners may not know what they missed. Other than for spinning session, baitrunners lead all the application as far as my experience goes. It last forever too.
