United Utilities are an appauling company, and I would go as far as to say ringing the Zoo would get a much better response, I have spoken to about 30 people at UU and they are all lacking in manners and intelligence and try to pass the blame to anyone but themselves, my window was cracked by shoddy work directly outside and the guy who checked the work outside my house tried to blame the accident on a pot hole some 15 yards away from the problem, yet UU still recovered the hole outside my house, and the fact that they did this I would class this as a GUILTY act on behalf of UU.
I was about to pursue court action against them and asked for a director's name and email address, as I thought it was only fair to let a Director know what was happening before they got a court summons and hey presto they have agreed to pay up in full plus ...

Advantages: Lots Of Free Programs. Hardly Any Advertising Disadvantages: Shareware mixed up with freeware.
This little gem of a magazine is not as well known as I first thought. This was evident from the fact there was no category for my opinion to go. It has now been included by Ciao, so now I can get on with writing an opinion for it!
The magazine is published monthly at £4.99. There is always 1 disc jam-packed full of many useful programs for you to install. Every 2 or 3 issues, an additional disc is supplied as a treat. For example, the May 2003 issue came with an extra disc containing a version of Linux that requires no installation. These extra discs always offer something different and this is one of the reasons I buy PC Utilities.
