Calling all travellers, have you heard about Eagle Creek.
The product is even better than the company says. I didnt choose this product it chose me as winner in a competition.
It is by far the best, most versatile product i have ever owned.

As a dedicated Samsonite user up until now I just have to sing the praises of Eagle Creek.

I recently took this item through the jungles of Venezuela a tough test for any luggage.

The Switchback stood up brilliantly. Waterproof, dustproof, brilliant styling, strong and yet very lightweight.
The product is like a "Tardis" hidden pockets some with zips, all over the place.
My husband and I managed to get all items for 3 changes daily 2 people 2 weeks into this item and there was still room for a few more. ( we like to travel light- not). The extending handle is sturdy and even locks away when not in use,There is a grey button on the back for this purpose, handy for stopping broken handles by airport baggage handlers. When in use it locks into the upright position. The extended handle height is about 90cm.
There are toiletries bags in various sizes (I used the largest one and just took off the toiletries bag as cabin luggage at check in.)
and a whole range of items designed to fit over the handle available including a nifty sunglasses case that will clip onto the item.

Main advantages are a rucksack and trolley in 1 with easy switching between the 2 dependant upon the terrain and with a detachable daypack with 2 main compartments, front one is an organiser and even has an attached keyring..

The product stood up to all sorts of conditions including torrential rain for 6 hours and didnt leak. It was the envy of all of my travelling companions who returned to the Uk to purchase the product.(I was the only one with dry belongings after the rain).

The price at around £200 seems expensive but when you consider that there are 3 items in 1 with a LIFETIME WARRANTY, convenience of registering on line at the eagle creek website (www.eaglecreek.com)the price is not an objection in my view. I will never need to replace this item.
The company certainly is switched on and listens to comments by customers regarding new items you require. The range is very extensive. I have over 20 items now and will be replacing my trusted Samsonites with even more. Products are stocked by Outdoor specialist shops. The "empty" Size of this item is approx. 37.5 cm wide, 62.5cm tall Without handle extended, 17.5cm deep with the day pack attached, 12.5 cm deep without the day pack attached. The zips have the facility for a padlock of your choice, there is a carrying handle on the side and top, 4 clip straps on the sides (2 on Each) adjustable dependant upon the ammount of luggage.They can be used with and without the day pack attached.
The day pack empty size is approx 30cm wide, 37.5cm high, 5cm deep. I find that this item is more than ample size to take all of the items required for a day, including an extensive first aid box (Yes I take the entire hospital or so I am told)It will hold a beach towel, litre water bottle and there is still space for other items. The straps are wide and comfortable.

Combined weight of the product is approx 3KG empty. I however took this product to 35 Kg (airport check in weighing) with clothes for 2 people containing no individual item heavier than a pair of jeans or trainers.
Both items are made from Cordura which is a dupont fabric 5000 denier, the items are allegedly slash proof and ther is no need for a metal cage inside, fortunatly I have not had this experience so can't verify. I would think this is a reasonable statement by the company as the range was originally sold to the American Market before going global.
