Advantages: Lots of space for everyone. Disadvantages: No longer made.
The Khyam Michigan 12 was only made in 2007 so can be hard to come by now. But if you are after a large, well set out tent, and you find one of these then grab it whilst you can.
The tent is an outer pitch first, or all in one. Personally we leave the inners in place which reduces the pitching time.
The tent itself is large and can be difficult and heavy to put up. Saying that I am under 5ft and have limited mobility so if me and hubby can put it up between us then I'm sure others could easily. We have reduced the pitching time to around 30 - 45 minutes now, which is not bad considering. One good thing though, is that although the tent is large it still fits on most pitches so no extra charges.
The tent has 3 inners. All or some can be removed if wanted. The largest is 6 berth. This is used by our 4 children and is just big enough ...
Advantages: Good quality, great value, spacious and easy to assemble. Looks great too Disadvantages: We haven't found any yet
We own an slightly older Vango Diablo 600 familydometent and its probably the best investment we ever made. Recently we looked around this new model as we are looking to upgrade and the design changes they have made are excellent. For example, the addition of the side door and the extra height in the bedrooms. Our current tent had served us very well and has accommodated our family of four through all weathers during week-end breaks and two week summer holidays. The tents take about 45 minuted to erect (2 people ideally required). The sewn in groundsheet is great for two reasons. The first being that it helps keep heat in and cold out and the second being it stops creepy crawlies joining you for company. We have used our existing tent in October in England and have not been cold ( with the help of a small heater). The outer ...
Advantages: Spacious, easy to erect Disadvantages: Fairly bulky, only for car touring
I have owned this tent for a couple of years, and can honestly say it's one of the best I have owned. There are some great deals out there for this tent now, and at around £150 it's an absolute bargain. Easy to put up, the only thing I would say is that you do need to peg all the guy lines out. On a balmy summers day I decided not connect them all, and it was noticeable when the wind picked up. As soon as they were all hammered in, the tent was steady as a rock.
One great feature is the detachable bedroom pods - we only needed two, so we detached the third and used it as a storage space.
Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a spacious familytent. ...

Manufacturer's product description
New in 2005, the exciting new Ancona range. This tent is pitched inner tent first and has a fully built-in inner with sewn-in groundsheet, which means absolutely no drafts. The Ancona 400 has bedroom accommodation for 4 people but more can sleep in the living area inner if need be. Because of the built-in inner, each of the three entrances effectively has a double skin (handy if subjected to Stannio's rapier wit) which again will help minimize incursions by the elements. The huge windows in the entrance doors also make this a light and airy tent, as does the inspired colour choice. The flysheet is seam sealed, 185T PU coated Polyester with a Hydrostatic Head of 2000mm. The inners are breathable Polyester and the sewn-in groundsheet and detachable porch groundsheet are polyethylene. The poles are 9.5mm and 11mm fibreglass. Pitched inner first.
