Advantages: Cheap reliable motoring Disadvantages: Not hip and cool
having an old Land Rover, I don't care if it gets a dink in the supermarket carpark, I don't care that it's 0 - 60 time needs a calender and not a stopwatch. All that matters is that it provides transport from A to B and is reliable. Whenever I drove my £22000 Audi I was worried about vandalism, theft , servicing costs etc.
But with a cheap car, I'm not stressed. The Fiesta starts first time, is quiet on the road, will do 40 mpg in town, has electric windows, central locks, heated front and rear screens and a sunroof. The only thin I miss is air conditioning. The only small problem I had when I first bought the car was the rear heated screen and the rear wiper would only work intermittently. So all I did was to clean up the contact terminals on the edge of the boot lid with some emery paper and they work every time. My local Ford garage ...
