Advantages: Will enhance riding confort and performance by untold amounts Disadvantages: Quite expensive at c.£50
...Being an increasingly keen participant in cross country mountain biking, I decided to kit myself out with the necessary clothing to ease the pain of those long rides. Not being one who is easily conned by clever marketing, and of course being a lifelong sceptic, it was out of character for me to follow recommendations to buy the Endura MT500 short. These may initially seem expensive at around £50, but believe me, for the money you will not be able to find any better. Long climbs become suddenly more comfortable, and you don't get the chafe around the seams as you would with cheaper shorts.
The kevlar seams are fully flatlocked, giving the short superb flexibility, and removes the embarrassing worry of the short giving way when the going gets a bit rough (see gorse grass and bramble attacks!). Further durability is provided by the dual...

...Mention the Pro V1 to the average golfer and one of the first words they'd use would be 'expensive'.
Mention the Pro V1 to a decent golfer and one of the first words they'd use would be, 'long'.
Mention the Pro V1 to a good golfer and the word they'd use would be 'essential'.
There is no doubt in my mind that the Pro V1 has taken shots off my game. I am no expert on the production of golf balls, but as a low handicap golfer I believe I am able to review this as well as most.
Titleist describes its characteristics as:
Longer Tee to Green.
Straight consistant Ball flight.
Drop and Stop Technology.
Soft High speed Performance feel.
Shear and Abrasion Resistant Cover.

Longer Tee to Green - I found that I was hitting my...

Advantages: the pro v1 is a very good ball and as well as beeing a good performing ball it aspires confidence its a favorate amongst club players and i would recomend it to most golfer BUT if would also recomend trying out the NXT titleist balls before paying £40 Disadvantages: the pro v 1 is very expensive andwill not drop in pirce for sum time
...Yes the pro v 1 is a very good ball and worth recomendation but there is a range of titleist balls on the market that for a fraction of the price perform just as well. last year i used the pro v 1 all season and had some very nice results but i have decided to use the cheaper NXT balls from titleist, alredy the balls are performing just like the pro v1's. i play alot of golf now and have decided to keep using the NXT balls to save the extra cash. So i would recomend you check the other titleist balls on the market before buying the pro v 1s , but dont put the pro v1 balls down they are very very good and if you do have the extra bit of money to spend on some balls then the pro v 1 is probabilly the better option.
heres a little more info for people wanting to know more about the titleist balls for 2005
The pro V1X - a good ball...
