Advantages: Will enhance riding confort and performance by untold amounts Disadvantages: Quite expensive at c.£50
...Being an increasingly keen participant in cross country mountain biking, I decided to kit myself out with the necessary clothing to ease the pain of those long rides. Not being one who is easily conned by clever marketing, and of course being a lifelong sceptic, it was out of character for me to follow recommendations to buy the Endura MT500 short. These may initially seem expensive at around £50, but believe me, for the money you will not be able to find any better. Long climbs become suddenly more comfortable, and you don't get the chafe around the seams as you would with cheaper shorts.
The kevlar seams are fully flatlocked, giving the short superb flexibility, and removes the embarrassing worry of the short giving way when the going gets a bit rough (see gorse grass and bramble attacks!). Further durability is provided by the dual...

Advantages: Nice shirt, very fashionable Disadvantages: United in blue - just not on
...Once again, the powers that be have had their way over the true fans. Manchester United in blue - it is just not on.

As I say, the kit is lovely, once again expensive at £40 for an adult shirt, but somehow is just not a Man U shirt in feel or appearance.
The shirt is comfortable...

Advantages: Its cheap and easy to use Disadvantages: Don't expect great things.

It also comes with 2 different lengths of elastic strapping (one short one for around your legs and arms and one longer one for putting around your waist) which are attached to the pad and can be adjusted to fit with Velcro. I’m not too optimistic about the quality of these and I’m not sure how long they will last before getting baggy. You also get 2 CR2032 batteries (one for use and one for spare) and 100ml of Application Gel which is doesn’t smell of anything and is a strange turquoise-blue colour and a 4 page information leaflet.
What is it supposed to do?
It is described as an electronic-exercise system that is “designed to support body toning, athletic enhancement and body building” – I think that support is the operative word, as in, it won’t get you thin all...

A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian doesn't sound like a book that's worth reading, does it? But it's deceptive. It's not written in Ukrainian, it's not a translation from a book written in Ukrainian and it's not really about tractors. The title... more
