England Goalkeeper Shirt 2008/09

Advantages: comfort, style, smarter than other football shirts
Disadvantages: quite brightly coloured, could be a controversial choice if you aren't a Chelsea fan

...Right let's put this in context. I come from a family of Chelsea fans and my Dad has been pestering me to get a new Chelsea shirt for a while now (mainly because none of my other ones fit me). The past few seasons shirts haven't been too inspiring so I haven't bothered, but this one is different. I'll to to explain. Comfort I love the material it's made from, it's really soft and doesn't rub like some football shirts do. I play football in it a lot and it's a really good choice. Also, my girlfriend genuinely specifically asks to wear this shirt to sleep. You know it's comfy when your girlfriend (from Middlesbrough) wants to wear it. ...I was bought from JJB, the Ladies England Home shirt for my birthday in October 05. My fiance had J Cole 11 printed on it by JJB. I was delighted with the present and loved the feel of it. The material is great, the cut is very flattering for ladies and I was proud of the shirt, especially with the name of my favourite international on the back. I washed the shirt by hand and I noticed little blue bits from the lettering had gone onto the white shirt. The problem wasn't that bad and I expected it to come out in the next wash so I didn't complain to JJB at the time. I hardly wore the shirt as I was saving it for the World Cup. ...Everybody my age had TY beanies, they were adorable! My close circle of friends and I were huge collectors and between us we have most, if not all, of them going! One of these is England the Bear. England: The name is pretty self explanatory. This bear represents the country England. Whether it is bought as a souvineer by a tourist in England, or by somebody whose home country is England and they are proud of that, this bear is there to represent it. Appearance: To look at, England from a distance seems plain, almost like a basic white bear. Indeed, his fur is white, which goes hand in hand with the whiteness of the England flag.
