Advantages: patient instructors Disadvantages: price but good riding schools are like that , sooo none really :)
...i have been going to callum park for almost six years , the instructors there are patient and are willing to help you with anything that you are stuck on , they wont mind if your not comfortable on the horse you ride , instead they will let you request for another pony/horse to your liking , the horses there are calm reliable and kind , only some are cheeky and hard to work but thats the way it goes , the more advanced you are the more harder you ... ...it really is a great place to be , i have almost been moved to another one before and i started to cry so in the end i didn't , luckily for me:) i highly recommend this riding school, its for for all ages , everyone gets to know each over and its easy to make friends , its very welcoming too , if anything if i could i would live at those stables all the stable hands are very helpful , and the pony's are just adorable :) xx ...
Advantages: social, great education, close to town. Disadvantages: some courses not avalible
The college of west anglia is a great educational experience and in the year of 2007 92% of all of their pupils passed their exams.
The college offers a great range of opportunities and experiences to all pupils of most ages and all cultures and beliefs.
The college campus is easy to find your way around in my opinion, once you have seen your way around, The staff at the college are polite and helpful to all pupils not only the ones in their courses, ...
Advantages: Well trained horses and instructors Disadvantages: You have to have contact with a very rude receptionist.
...received from the receptionist at Ditchling Common Stud. I would advice anyone who expects some customer service to avoid this place.
The receptionist was rude and confrontational. She told me I was going to miss half of my lesson if I was late when I was stuck in traffic. When I arrived only a few minutes late she was curt with me asking why I had arrived on time and said my instructor was teaching for another 20 minutes anyway. It should have ... ...argument.
What should have been a pleasant riding experience was marred by this woman who even after my lesson shouted through the door that there was no point complaining, she had already spoken to the owner.
For £37 per lesson I would expect better. There are plenty of riding schools who will treat paying customers as such and give you an enjoyable riding experience. This was disappointing as the horses and the instructors were great. ...
Advantages: Great tuition and safe Disadvantages: Parking could get a problem
Brampton Stables is a super business and a great place to learn to ride. Much of my review will be written based upon the stables as a riding school however they also offer a full livery service for those wishing to keep their horses there and while I have to endure an annual nag fest from my daughter regarding her wish to own a horse I have so far resisted based on the fact that it is rather expensive and very time consuming even if you opt for ... ...that they went to.
Brampton Stables is located in the lovely Northamptonshire village of Church Brampton which is about five miles from Northampton just off Stables Lane. There is a drive which shares access to a number of properties, currently the old stable yard is being converted to residential houses however a new set of state of the art stables have been built which provide a far superior living space for the horses.
The centre is blessed ...
Advantages: Good instructors; lovely horses and very patient instructors Disadvantages: Can be pricey if you have private lessons, but other than that there are none.
...am an older rider at Callum Park and I would say to anyone who is thinking of taking up horse riding - then this is the place to come if you live within travelling distance. Yes it is a bit expensive, but all decent riding schools are nowadays. Whether you want to just learn the basics, or develop skills in jumping and dressage, there are instructors and horses to suit your requirements.
I regularly join the hacks in the summer months and I also ... ...I enjoy. I have also learned a lot and my basic riding skills have really improved.
I would urge anyone to give it a go. As long as you have the correct riding wear, then the only expense is the weekly lesson (and if you join in group lessons then the cost is very reasonable).
Go on, have a go, you won't regret it. ...
