Medela Mini Electric Breast Pump

Advantages: Quick, convenient, different speeds for different stages
Disadvantages: Noisy!!

I think it is fair to say that I was prepared and planned for Aleyna's birth. I spent the last 2 months of my pregnancy nesting, organising, obsessing, much to my husband's delight as I am normally a little slovenly!! However nothing could have prepared us for Aleyna spending 2 weeks in intensive care. I had already bought the Medela Electric breast pump, I knew I would be going back to work after a short time and I knew if at all possible that I wanted to breastfeed. When my milk had still not come in 5 days after Aleyna's birth (she was on a serum drip in the incubator so no milk for her at that stage), with a little help from the midwife I decided to focus on getting my milk supply going in order to give her the best start if and when she was able to take milk. This focus kept me going but I can honestly say that the Medela ...

Review of Medela Mini Electric Breast Pump

avent electric breast pump easy and efficient

Advantages: easy to clean, easy to understand and easy to use
Disadvantages: had to be plugged in alot

I would recommed this to anybody who is thinking about breast feeding their child. The instructions that are supplie with this product are brilliant and easy to understand. It was very interesting to use for the first time and seemed very daunting but it worked out to be so simple. I paid £50 from Boots for mine which was 2 years ago now it is so much easier than the hand pumps that can put alot of strain on the fingers to keep havinig to pump it, this is the lazy way out and is it worth the money all you have to do is sit back and relax watching tv or reading a book which can take a bit of practice due to having to hold the pump still. The pump comes with a small bottle and a measuring cup and lids for all of them to be able to store. This product is easy to clean and will fit in any steriliser the electric part of the pump ...

Review of Avent Electric Breast Pump

Pump It Up, Daisy

Advantages: Easy to assemble and use and very efficient
Disadvantages: A little bit noisy

When my baby was born 5 months ago, we quickly found out that he wasn't taking enough breast milk from me - bless him, he was falling asleep before he had a chance to fill his tummy. So, my midwife suggested that I use a breast pump to express some milk off, and that I give him 20 ml in a small cup towards the end of every feed. Now I had bought a manual breast pump when my daughter was a baby, but to be honest with you, I'd never really got on with it. I found it quite uncomfortable on my breast, and it really made my hand ache trying to work the thing! So, I decided to look into the various options available for an electric breast pump. I eventually settled on the Medela Mini 'Electric breast pump, which I bought for £50 from Boots. When I got the pump home, I unpacked it (nicely packaged) and popped the non-motorised bits ...
