Advantages: Small, Compact, Lightweight, Affordable. Disadvantages: Get's a bit hot when cooking.
...I go camping a lot! It would be fair to say that I enjoy it, very much! So it won't suprise you to learn that I love checking out camping shops for little gadgets or something new to experiment with.
When it comes to going away, you want to reduce the bulk of whatever you're taking. Even more so when camping, because if you're camping properly you want to go back to basics as much as you can!
This cookset made by Eurohike is brilliant! It's desgin means that you can easily nest each pot and pan inside one another to create a small bundle. Very space saving, very practical. A travel/carry bag is provided with the set.
Made of Aluminium, this cookset is very light. An obvious downside to being made of metal however, is the heat conducting qualities. So when cooking with the set you need to be constantly aware of how hot it may...

Advantages: Easy To Use, Lightweight Disadvantages: Not Waterproof
...Most weekends I can usually be found trudging across some remote part of the Countryside. I have done this week in, week out for many years but it only recently struck me how many miles I must cover on an average walk. It is of course reasonably easily to estimate the distance covered with the aid of a good map but these days there are a whole range of little gadgets available, which measure the distance that you walked.
These gadgets are colloquially referred to as Pedometers. I have recently purchased a Eurohike Walking Pedometer which have I used for the past couple of months. I purchased this from a local Outdoors Shop for £9.99.
Prior to my purchase I had virtually no knowledge of Pedometers, other than being aware that they existed. There were actually two different choices available in the Shop that I went to. My decision...

Advantages: Exceptional accuracy, reliable easy-read, well made Disadvantages: At first sight it might appear a tad expensive
.... Mounted in a durable hinged cover that protects the compass and bezel from harm is a large sighting mirror, which double up as a shaving mirror and a heliograph. Luminous points for night navigation, and rubber feet that grip the map when working to and from the map, and map measuring scales mm/inch 1:25k and 1:50k. It fits in your pocket, map case or tiniest of dashboard hideaways. It absorbs the odd knocks and it floats!
An optional extra is a small pace counter that is designed to be screwed onto Silva base-plates and used for counting paces as an aid to navigation. Warning, it is quite tricky to fix this onto you compass and if you click it prior to fixing it on your compass you are liable to break it.
The 15TDLC is equipped with a clinometer for measuring vertical angles and magnetic variation adjuster, the 15TDLC-360 includes...

I borrowed this game off my cousin as although it was on special when i brought my Wii it was not a game that jumped off the shelf at me.

Fun game, a little frustrating at times, but what game isn't! Graphics aren't as good as other Xbox 360 games but they're not horrendous. The plot doesn't follow the film or the book all that well but it's a nice tame game to enjoy. You control Lyra... more
We've all done it. Looking up the rude words in a dictionary. Well how about this - a dictionary filled with rude words? A bit childish perhaps? Yeah, maybe - but I still consider it to be an important thing for someone who wants to really learn another... more
