AA Batteries are in the region of £5 for 4 and at this price for those of you with a digital camera or MP3/CD player you can afford to have 3 or 4 sets on stand by, another advantage of this type of battery is that there are no memory problems like there are with Nicads, so you can recharge half charged batteries without any problems..

My advice and verdict..if you want better reliability, get rid of your tired Nicad batteries and invest in some NiMHbatteries, you wont regret it, particularly if you have a digital camera..these are a sound investment and a good compliment to your holiday pictures, and prevent you loosing your temper when the batteries die on you just as you're taking that once ...

Hahnel was not a name I was familiar with, so I did a little research - they are part of hähnel industries ltd. Who manufacture accessories for the camera and camcorder market. The company is one of the leading manufactures of power products for camcorder and digital cameras. They are known for their innovative products, and have been in business for over 44 years.
Sounded good to me, I went back on Ebay and found these reasonably priced at £6.59 for pack of four ('Buy Now' ). I sent off a cheque and batteries duly arrived a couple of days later.

believe that most of my batteries have charged in about 60 minutes, on a full charge from an empty battery. As well as getting the charger, which plugs straight into the wall it includes 4 x 2500mAh Ni-Mh AA's (which are in sliver, and look quite attractive, you won't get these thrown out as they definately stand out from panasonic and duracell) You can charge AAAbatteries however the sale only comes with 4 AA batteries.
It has a sensor control, a red and green light, to tell you when it is still charging and when the charge is fully complete. Another helpful feature is that it includes a car adapter for no extra cost. This charger the Sprint 90 accepts Ni-Mh and Ni-Cd batteries, in both AA and AAA Formats, charging them in sets of 2 or 4 at a time. Also charging 2 batteries will reduce the charging time.
