Advantages: Easy to put on, wash and dry.
Disadvantages: A touch on the expensive side.
...for jumping as 1, my horses don`t brush and 2, if they did I would use full brushing boots. I consider them useful for jumping as the boots provide protection around the fetlock without being restrictive. Fetlock boots are used on the hind legs though horses have fetlocks front and back. For jumping horses wear tendon boots so they do not need fetlock boots at the front. If the horse brushes at the front, front brushing boots can be used, though it is less common for a horse to brush at the front than the back. Brushing occurs when a horse moves quite close together, causing potential injury to themselves by catching one leg with the other. So whilst these boots can be used for brushing, I prefer the ones that come up higher for brushing boots. Fetlock boots are absolutely perfect for jumping. ...change it frequent warm it up on the flat ‘changes’ to get the oil in, don’t use cheap stuff oil is not oil any more, carbon insert this add polymers here, well you can bet its designed to use one of them so throw the cash at it.
Anyway I think I’ve ‘cranked’ along plenty about derailleurs, remember keep it fast, keep it changing, keep it clean, - and get it “set-up!” so you know what your riding.
