Why choose a Fluid Indoor Rower when you could have a concept2 ?
I spend most of my life training in the gym, which up until now has been dominated by the Concept 2 indoor rower, that is until now !!!!
Compare the concept 2 and its air system and the initial resistance is poor you almost get a few inches of stroke before the concept 2 rower starts to bite, then once you over come that initial force it then peaks and almost turns using its own force, almost free wheeling the large fan wheel. The stroke on the fluid Rower is there no wait, no slip and no slack, just constant force, when you stop your stroke the fluid rower stops.
Im a big guy at 6ft 3" the Fluid Rower is rock steady and even giving the machine a real pounding, it doesnt budge and the seat doesnt lift and rock and roll.
The Fluid Rower seat has got to be the most comfy rower you can park your bum on, also the seat is the height of a normal office desk chair, making it very easty to get on and off. The foot rests were bang on and not to wide apart, with no slip material and comfy straps, you can row with or with out trainers, I love to row bare feet in the hotter months.
The handle on the Fluid Rower is so much better than the concept 2 rower, it doesn’t look or feel cheap and has a nice weight to it and felt balanced in my hands. It has a nice shape and I certainly didnt suffer any wrist ache.
My first few strokes on the Fluid Rower convinced me I was going to buy it, the instant grab and resistance, the swish and swoosh of the water, it felt perfect.
Interactive monitor isnt as good as the concept 2 for features, but would rather have a good rowing machine than upload gimick figures to forums !!!
Very easy to put together with some good videos on you tube under fluid rower.
