I have been fishing for many years,all types of fishing course,game,sea an have found that every Okuma sea reel i've bought has lasted the test of time. It has failed now,an has been replaced with a pro dap 65 an epix ep 80 both very affordable an very reliable. These reels seem to last forever. Recently purchased ny second shimano baitrunner. Had a smaller one (3500 series), love it and not get a biggie (6500 series) for sea angling. This baitrunner had been around for so many years, yet the design has not evolve much. mainly due to it was already perfect as it is. Black, squarish, there are no phisical attraction, but functionality and the power that it hold make it all worth it and I can't think of any better model to replace this baitrunners. ...

...certainly meet my demand. With daiwa tag on it and 11 corrosian resistance bearing, it was properly suited my taste. I coupled this reel with 10' DAM uptide rod (4 - 10 oz casting weight) and with Power Pro braided line (red). I might had went too far on the line selection, I would recomment mono line as my finger a bit sore everytime after quite a few cast. Hauling big fish is not an issue for this fish. This reel actually retrieve about 40" per handle turn. I recently purchased 2 Shimano 8000 GTE-B baitrunners and wow how have I managed to fish before without them. I'm yet to find a fault with them. With the ability to adjust the baitrunner and drag with ease and my casting distances have increased dramatically enabling me to fishing in areas that were unreachable with my previous reels. Yes they cost £74.99 per reel but they last for years (My dad has had a pair for 12 years and they are still quality). ...

For the asking price i think this reel is hard to beat, as an angler who lives on a tight budget and top end tackle such as shimano baitrunners etc are out of reach, it looks, feels and operates like a quality item id pay double for.
