The pros of a very good reel
Review of Svendsen Sports Okuma Interceptor Baitfeeder by brushart

Advantages: light,reliable,roubust,strong,rust-proof,well enigeneered,cheap,easy use
Disadvantages: new ones seem to be lighter,an not gressed properly

I have been fishing for many years, all types of fishing course, game, sea an have found that every Okuma sea reel i've bought has lasted the test of time. It has failed now,an has been replaced with a pro dap 65 an epix ep 80 both very affordable an very reliable. These reels seem to last forever. I'm not sure if okuma makes other tackle,i heard they do float but have not seen them in england. So if your listing okuma well done i rate you 5 stars for ... Read review

Excellent reel. Best baitrunner on the market.
Review of Shimano Baitrunners by seaweed78

Advantages: Best proven baitrunner on the market, rear drag switch...
Disadvantages: Not that I am complaining off. Maybe a free spool would be nice.

Recently purchased ny second shimano baitrunner. Had a smaller one (3500 series), love it and not get a biggie (6500 series) for sea angling. This baitrunner had been around for so many years, yet the design has not evolve much. mainly due to it was already perfect as it is. Black, squarish, there are no phisical attraction, but functionality and the power that it hold make it all worth it and I can't think of any better model to replace this baitrunners. ...
...last forever too. I think Shimano is the first one who invent this rear drag switch thing and pattented the 'baitrunner' name too, I think. When I did sea fishing, my favorite method are live-baiting for mid/ top water species and bottom fishing for bottom/ near bottom dwellers. Live-baiting is self-explainatory, free-lining. There are two drag to set, baitrunner drag can switched-on for minimal drag and front drag pre-set for hook up. Having resistance ... Read review

Ideal Shore reel.
Review of Daiwa Emcast Plus Big Pit Reel by seaweed78

Advantages: Good casting distance, high speed retrieval, comfortable handle, good power
Disadvantages: Outer finishing seems not lasting too long.

...certainly meet my demand. With daiwa tag on it and 11 corrosian resistance bearing, it was properly suited my taste. I coupled this reel with 10' DAM uptide rod (4 - 10 oz casting weight) and with Power Pro braided line (red). I might had went too far on the line selection, I would recomment mono line as my finger a bit sore everytime after quite a few cast. With tide that twisted the leader, I spent quite some time on getting it entangled. But, ...
...rod but with Digigeared powered Daiwa reel. With 3' handicapped, this reel really make a difference in casting. The retrieving feel very smooth. The power is there. Hauling big fish is not an issue for this fish. This reel actually retrieve about 40" per handle turn. Can't afford a Shimano Stella, but I will bring along this reel for my high speed jigging at some point this year. ... Read review

Makes fishing fun and stress free
Review of Shimano Baitrunner Aero Gte B by mattz

Advantages: Stylish, easy to use, well made and very durable
Disadvantages: Quite expensive

I recently purchased 2 Shimano 8000 GTE-B baitrunners and wow how have I managed to fish before without them. I'm yet to find a fault with them. With the ability to adjust the baitrunner and drag with ease and my casting distances have increased dramatically enabling me to fishing in areas that were unreachable with my previous reels. Yes they cost £74.99 per reel but they last for years (My dad has had a pair for 12 years and they are still quality). ...
...drive shaft meets the pinion. Shimano designers have overcome this by reducing a large percentage of surface area contact and incorporating bearings on either side of the shaft. The resultant design leaves the shaft in a floating position, considerably improving efficiency and longevity.  Power Roller Shimano's Power Roller dramatically reduces line twist, prolonging the useful life of your reel line and improving casting performance. ... Okuma Intercepter Baitfeeder Reel
Review of Svendsen Sports Okuma Interceptor Baitfeeder by milkman2

Advantages: price, good looks, nice quality feel, all metal construction
Disadvantages: non i can find

For the asking price i think this reel is hard to beat, as an angler who lives on a tight budget and top end tackle such as shimano baitrunners etc are out of reach, it looks, feels and operates like a quality item id pay double for. The body is all metal construction and feels solid, it comes with a nice silver/graphite finish that on mine has taken the every day knocks and rattling around in the bottom of my tackle box well. The handle is a double ...
...used left or right handed. The bail arm has a positive action that trips over smoothly and is equiped with a free spinning line roller. The reel has either a silent anti reverse operation or a reversable option by means of a small lever on its underside. There are two drag adjustments on the reel, one at the front that works as a standard spool drag system, its smooth and has a wide range of adjustment, from virtually free spool to solid lock up. ...
