The slam man comes in 2 parts, the torso and the base, the torso then attaches to the base, once you fill the base with sand, once you plug the computer in its ready to use. There are 2 entry points into which you can pour sand into the base.

My sons have a slamman and couldnt wait to have it delivered, They ordered it from www.boysstuff.co.uk on a 1 day discount for £199 and free next day delivery, which was good at the time as they are priced around £250,
When delivered the slamman comes in 2 parts,
~torso and base~ and weighs 29lbs, before setting it up you must fill the base with..wait for it ...240lbs of sand!
This had to be ordered and delivered seperately at a cost of £13 and ... ...to move due to the weight, so plan where you want to put it.
He came complete with a pair of 12 oz professional boxing gloves~

I ordered my "Slamman" from www.boystuff.co.uk after seeing it advertised in the back of a mens magazine. Basically it is a polyeurathane model of a man - and a pretty mean looking one at that - which has lights embedded in the face and sternum. A small electronic unit on the front is used to cause the lights to flash in a pre-programmed sequence over a configurable period of time. When the lights flash, you punch them, and if you hit the light with ... ...running score of how many lights you have blitzed so that you can assess your performance/fitness.
One problem with this product (and this applies especially to the guys) is that you must weigh Slamman down with a huge quantity of sand to stop it from moving as you pummel it. In the instructions it suggests 5 bags of sand but I found this woefully inadequate with me able to move Slamman from one side of the room to another during an exercise program. ...

The "computer" is the size of a brick, looks like a brick and basically has the same functionality as a brick. You would find better and more ... ...Argos catalogue.
Reliability:
Mine has gone wrong 3 times in 1 year. It is broken again - but I can't be bothered to send it back again. Each time it was the tilt switch. Tilt switch I hear you cry, read on.
