A complete gym in your home
Review of York bodygym 2003 by NIGSY

Advantages: Useful for the whole family
Disadvantages: restricted maximum user weight

YORK Body Gym 2003 Due to the nature of my work I used to have a bit of spare time during the day, so I filled it in by going to the local gym. This had 2 purposes , 1, it got me from under my wifes feet, and 2, it helped keep me fit . But due to unforeseen family problems I can not get to the gym as much any more , so I had to find an alternative method of keeping fit at home. I have looked at all the different electronic gadgets ( personally ...
...answer to my problems the YORK BODY GYM 2003. £99.00 The machine works on the principal of using your own body weight against you so creating resistance. This is achieved in varying stages , The bench is inclined and the angle can be raised so increasing the percentage of your body weight you are using against your self, i.e. at the lowest incline you are using 25% there is another 5 stages of incline building up to 50% of your own body weight. ... Easy way to save space and gain fitness
Review of York 250 Sit-up Bench by Stevey101

Advantages: Simplistic, easy to store
Disadvantages: -

...effort with the gym, the York 250 Sit-up Bench is the solution i will give. My bedroom is not of a great size, although i have space for the bench to be unfolded constantly. The bench is under 150cm long, which shows the space needed is minimal. IF you wouldnt like to see the bench constantly, you can easily fold, and store in your wardrobe, under your bed, or even against a wall. The bench is padded throughout, the main body of the bench is very ...
...where as with your own York fitness bench, you will be satisfied! To suit your needs, the bench can also for adjusted for the begginers of abdo training, and also for the experts. Personally, i started off at a small incline, but found the angle changing rapidly due to the ease of the bench. The sit up bench not only is good for the basic use, it comes with a variety of other excersizes your can do. I tried all of them initially, and i have come ... Read review

Decent beginners weights bench
Review of York 6605 Bench by beanie8844

Advantages: easy to assemble
Disadvantages: the design could be improved

...the gym. I puchased a york 6605 weights bench so I could workout at home instead of travelling to and from the gym on my days off. It was reasonably straightforward to assemble and at first I was delighted with it. However, after using it a few times I began to notice the design faults. Firstly, when doing leg curls, especially quadricep raises it was hurting my shins, I don't think it was designed with tall people in mind (im 6ft 1'). Because of ...
...adviseable anyway. Apart from these two limitations it is a decent product, however I would only recommend using light to medium weights upto 100kg. I've had the York 6605 for 3 and a half years now and still use it, but maybe not as often as I should. ... Read review

Decent board for new weight lifters
Review of York DB5 Bench by srtom

Advantages: Good bench for beginners, Sturdy, Stood the test of time, Potential for many exercises
Disadvantages: Problems occur with heavy weights (n/a for beginners), Fairly expensive

...build muscle successfully. The York DB5 bench is a pretty good bench for beginners as the multi-usage means you can start your weight lifting career in your leisure at home or wherever you decide to keep the bench! Personally when I bought it I stuck it straight in the garage and used it in all weathers including cold temperatures, rain, heat, snow and it has still only rusted marginally despite these conditions. It caters for the following: Flat ...
...these as a solid technique can be used for each while using the bench. Concentration curls (for arm) are fairly hard to do because of the shape of the bench, but still do-able. Helps if you are taller than 6ft! Incline Bench for Dumbell fly’s etc – the solid shape of the bench affords a good shape for dumbbell fly’s in particular, however the incline bench feels a little strange compared to those in gyms.
