I find the atmosphere at fitness first relaxing especially with free hot and cold drinks up stairs in the lounge area where there is also a generous supply of magazines and newspapers. The changing rooms are spacious and their are single sex saunas in each. The jacuze(?) is however mixed. The creche is well laid out quite resonably priced when compared to others. However creche places are very limited for under twos which can be a real pain. You have to book a few weeks in advance then pay a cancellation fee if your little angel decides to be ill that day. The facilities are good with lots of different machines and the staff are very helpful. Their is a good selection of gym classes however I found these did not always coincide well with the creche availablity or my off peak memebership. All in all a very good club which for a novice at this sort of thing I found friendly and approachable. Like all gyms the monthly fees are bearable if you go regularly.
