I changed my direct debit as I had changed my bank. Fitness First failed to change it on the computer, which meant I incurred £60 of bank charges. I didn't get any where with the club but when I spoke to the customer service dept., they told me that they would give me a refund for the £60 and also a free month's membership. Guess what. I didn't get either. Then when I cancelled my direct debit and my membership they sent me to a debt recovery agency. The fight goes on. Do not use Fitness First.
I am sure you hear this all the time but from a personal point of view I found your article very valuable and enjoyable.
