Advantages: Can do a variety of exercises on it Disadvantages: Bit of an eyesore in the house
The gym ball, swissball, fitnessball, stability ball or whatever other name it comes under, seems to have taken the fitness world by storm. These balls can be purchased in most sports shops, department stores, tv shopping channels, chemists and even supermarkets. They cost between £5 and £15, come with their own pump and usually an instruction leaflet or DVD.
Fitnessballs come in a variety of sizes, 42, 45, 55, 65 and 75cms and you should select your size depending on your height. For safety reasons, the rubber material has been designed to deflate slowly in the event of unexpected damage, so the ball should not burst suddenly, leaving the user in a heap on the floor.
Pumping up the ball, with the hand pump provided does take a little time and the novice user may be unsure of how firm it should be. I'm not sure how ...
Advantages: easy to use, great value for money, can be used during gameplay, USB connection Disadvantages: cannot be charged from the mains
MadCatz Wii Fit Battery Pack
After months of searching we finally managed to get hold of a Nintendo Wii Fit board back in July which was hugely popular with the whole family and used almost every second that the house was occupied.

The Wii fit balance board measures and monitors weight, centre of gravity etc and feeds this back wirelessly to the Wii console plugged into your television.
Due ...
Advantages: A great improvement on Wii Fit Disadvantages: You need to be self motivated to stick with it
I bought Wii Fit last year and have now used it for over 400 hours so I guess you could say I have had my money's worth out of it. I do like it but it has its shortcomings not least of which is the fact that it takes a long time to work through a routine so I was pleased when I heard that Nintendo were bringing out a new versions and I wanted to see what that offered.
Wii Fit Plus is intended to overcome some of the shortcomings and to allow you to plan a whole routine rather than do it piecemeal and have to wait between exercises. I preordered mine via Amazon where you buy Wii Fit Plus for just £17.99 if you already have the Wii Balance Board or £79.99 with the Balance Board.
As this is a full product review I will outline everything that it does which does include everything on the original Wii Fit so if you already have Wii ...
