Toyota Starlet GT

Advantages: Fuel Economy, Fast, Comfortable, reliable, head turning looks.
Disadvantages: Need an aftermarket fog light as these cars are imports.

engine and has the capability to be tuned to well over 200bhp, power which is equal to much larger cars such as the vauxhall Astra VXR and a few Subaru Impreza wrx's. The key to the performance of the GT is its weight. When toyota created it, weight was a huge factor in the process. The starlet weighs 860kg so has a great power to weight ratio. The build quality of the engine is brilliant and if looked after correctly and regularly maintained it will last the life of the car. The turbo model in the GT is the Toyota CT9 (dual mode boost). This basically means you can choose the power output from the turbo, low being 0.45bar and high being 0.65bar. The cool air which the turbo requires is provided by a TMIC (top mounted intercooler) which sits directly on top of the engines rocker cover. The air is fed into the intercooler from the bonnet ...

Flite Saddle - a real beauty

Advantages: great looking, light weight and comfortable
Disadvantages: uncomfortable for some

The Flite titanium saddle and its previous incarnations have been my choice of saddle for around the last eight years on some of my mountain bikes. There is one obvious disadvantage to this saddle and that is that the shape might not be to everyone?s liking, its pretty small and does take some getting used to. On the other hand, there are many advantages to this saddle, one of which is the fact that now I?m used to it I find it perfectly comfortable. Main advantages have to include the fact that it is so light weight at just about 200g, the fact that it is really long lasting even when used in the foulest of conditions and also the fact that it looks so sleek and would look fantastic on any bike. I?d would definetely highly recommend this saddle to anyone... ...

Review of Selle Italia Flite

Avoid this bike.

Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Does not inspire confidence re: safety

I've had many problems with this bike. To start with the brake system is incredibly difficult to fit. After 3 different people attempted it (including a bike expert) I had to take it back to the shop who finally managed it. Then the real problem: after just a year the back brake block sheared off while undergoing resetting. After buying new brake blocks and attempting to fit them the end of the brake cable just fell off, leaving the cable liable to fraying. No extraordinary pressure was put on these parts to cause these failures, it was just bare hands, a spanner and an Allen key. My experience leaves me with the opinion that the parts on this bike are shoddy and could actually be dangerous. ...
