I bought a pair of these bindings because I though they might stop my hands getting so cold when I had to take my gloves off to fasten my Emery regular bindings. Boy, did they do more than that.

Firstly, they are so quick to put on. Instead of cranking tight those ratchets - all four of them - you just put your foot in and snap shut the clamp.

Secondly, and more importantly for me, when the clamp is shut, you get far more control over your board. One problem I always had with regular bindings was that my foot slid around an awful lot - with Flow bindings your feet stay in the same place making turns smoother and easier. They also come with numerous ways of adjusting the fittings - my tip is to do this before you hit the slopes and not during as I found out one day when I spent about half an hour tightening the back - which I had to do by unscrewing the entire binding. However, once its been done once, it doesn't have to be done again.

The only draw back I can see is that you have to get in on your tow edge, but for beginners who sometimes find it difficult to get up on their heel edge, this is another advantage.

All in all I throughly recommend thse bindings - they may be more expensive than the regular type but they are far more comfortable and give you more control over the board. And you get to enjoy that snow more, being half way down a slope while your snowboard buddies are still at the summit tightening their ratchets.

I totally agree with this review, but for me the fact you can so quickly snap these bindings on is the main advantage. Fiddling with the ratchets at the top of every slope, and after getting stuck on a flat used to really take it out of me, but now I can slip these on and off really easily, I can even snap them on whilst I start moving down the slope!!

I spent so long umming and ahh-ing over whether or not to get these bindings recently. Wish I had read this op first. Would have made my mind up so much quicker. You were dead right too - these bindings rule!

Everyone else commented on how this was a great first op, but for me after reading your review on Flow FL 11 you had a big impact. I have bin thinking about buying new snowboarding equipment for the last year now and i've bin interested in the flow line of bindings, i think now i am convinced that a pair of these would be a wise investment - thanks Paul
