Pure class
Advantages: Great all rounder Disadvantages: No thumb guard
...that the up and coming Sells gloves needed to be tried. Sells were worn by Jersey Dudek in his European Cup Final heroics in Istanbul, along with an increasing number of Premiership keepers, so the pedigree of these gloves was not under question. Appearance:
Once again I chose a colour scheme that would stand up to the rigour and dirt that a glove would be subjected to. In this case it is a combination of black and off-white with a Sells logo with ... ...and looks very striking.
Materials:
The backhand is toughened latex that is ribbed in order to give a better impact when punching the ball. This makes it very easy to clean, and being off white doesn't lose much in terms of aesthetic value when it slightly discolours to grey. Another useful function of this latex is if a save needs to be improvised, it is sometimes possible to catch the ball using the back of one hand and the front of another. ...

Great looks - poor performance - Nike Tiempo SGT Gloves
Advantages: Stunning looks, very comfortable. Disadvantages: Very poor grip
...colour scheme and that massive Nike tick, reassurance usually of a well-made product. I fell for these gloves immediately and parted with something in the region of £65 for them. I had made a mistake.
The main problem with these gloves is the foam. 4mm latex palms are what you would expect from professional quality gloves, but by my own admission the SGT technology was an intriguing concept. Sipe Grip Technology, SGT, has been developed by Nike, ... ...the palms have thin grooves all over the surface allowing for the palms to stretch. Personally I found on the pitch that this initiative is not only pointless, it is a hindrance. The grip is not as good as standard smooth grips, and presented me with issues when it came to collecting crosses and gathering the ball from the feet of strikers. In fact, I was so concerned about the grip that in the first match I used them I switched to my old Adidas ...

No serious goalkeeper should be wearing anything but fingersaves!
Advantages: Protection from breaks and increased control Disadvantages: Can be a bit strange at first if not used to fingersaves but easy to adapt to!
I thought I would write this review as I have had a great experience with this product. I'm no professional, though play football at a respectable level and consider myself to be a promising young goalkeeper.
I had never bothered with fingersave gloves before I broke my index finger in a game last year. I decided following it's recovery that I should invest in a pair of fingersave gloves. I must admit I had my reservations about these in particular ... ...the fingers would be restricted too much but I was wrong.
I invested in a pair of these and they have been brilliant, no problems whatsoever. If there is anyone out there not wearing fingersave gloves, then invest in a pair, because you only need to break a finger that refuses to heal properly and you've got problems. These gloves offer complete protection from damage to your fingers and do not restrict the control you have at all.
These are perfect ...

Total Flop or Total 90?
Advantages: Great Finger Support Sytem Disadvantages: Poor Grip
The Total 90 wired gloves are very good because use the latest technology in ensuring maximum grip of the football and protection of the player. I would recommend these gloves to someone who maybe playing for a Sunday team but would not recommend to those who are in academy level or higher.
The implications of those not being the highest rated gloves is because the grip on the glove is not as thick as other leading brands such as sellsport and uhlsport.

Nike Kraken Elite Pro
Advantages: Good Grip at the strart Disadvantages: They wear away quite fast
The Nike Kraken Elite Pro gloves are ok even though they were a good pair of gloves. The only problem with them is that the foam on the fingers tended to wear away quite fast than and that sometimes you could see your hands. They are good for training but i wouldnt always rely on them. You can feel the ball very well with these gloves but once the foam has gone they are useless. They have got holes in the side of them like most gloves do but these ...
