Disadvantages: Less mobility around the ankle area, due to the affor mentioned support

nike tiempo boots

Advantages: nice design, light
Disadvantages: not strong, dont prevent injury

...more in the modern day nike boots. I gotta say in defense of them though that the design is nice and they are extremely light. But maybe as my story proves that isnt such a good thing.
