Review of Mitre Salao Training Footballs

Bouncy footballs balls for kids and grown ups.

Advantages: cheap, good sports brand, durable
Disadvantages: seems poor qualitycompared to older balls, light but maybe to light

...balls we used were also mitre but were a bit tatty so I bought four 2, size 4 and size 5 the fours being for kids to use and the size 5's for myself. These balls ar light and swerve considerably compared to the older heavier balls. This in turn is easier on the foot and reuires less effort in passing and shoting and general contol while playing. Review of Mitre Monde Football

Great for skint teams, brain damage for players

Advantages: Cheap....thats about it
Disadvantages: Mishapen easily, nothing outstanding about it, too hard (no cushion)

I have used a Mitre Tactic on many occasions now on all the surfaces (blaise, astro turf and grass) and I have always been underwhelmed by its performance. My old school got them in at dirt cheap prices (about £1.73 per ball when averaged out) and used them on our blaise pitches. Mitre Malmo Training Football Review

Advantages: Very cheap, good value for money.
Disadvantages: Heavier and not as well made as some of the newer balls.

The version of this ball that I have is the Orange Malmo, Size 5, so opinions are based on this ball, I cannot vouch for any of the other sizes/colours. I bought it from Newitts for about £5.50 inc P & P. The ball seems fairly durable, though the stitching is more exposed than on a lot of the more expensive new footballs, so I would guess that after a while of playing in the wet the stitching would become weak, though have not subjected it to water ...
