Fitness First Leicester is part of an international chain of fitness clubs. Your membership is valid wherever you go, although some clubs abroad charge a small supplement because they offer deluxe services. The Leicester club is next to the Walkers Stadium, so it can be a bit chaotic on match days. It shares a parking lot with a Staples office products store, and you are issued a window sticker without which you can't park when there is an event at the stadium. Joining is easy. The on request is the important word in that sentence, because you can receive as little or as much support as you require. Even if you are naturally fit and exercise regularly, if you have never been a member of a gym, you are best to seek some initial advice and start on a programme that is right for you. Many blokes just wade straight in and start trying to lift the heaviest weights without ever leearning technique first ... this is the quickest way to injure yourself and trying to be a "hero" often back fires. New members are also usually given a starter kit upon joining, which varies slightly in terms of it's inclusions, but generally always includes branded ruck-suck, hand towel, head-phones for usage... ...As i have never been to fitness first i cannot comment on how they operate but as a fitness unlimited customer i can say the following. Fitness Unlimited (Sheffield): Firstly I am the kind of person who has never done any exercise in my (adult) life. So the fact that I decided to join 'Fitness Unlimited' came as quite a shock to my closest friends and family. Fitness Unlimited is a way of joining four fitness centres in Sheffield: Ponds Forge, Hillsborough and Don Valley stadium, not forgetting concord. The idea of belonging to four centres may seem a little strange but in fact gives you the best of all worlds. As Ponds Forge is often used for national and international events, it allows you to use a different centre when their facilities are unavailable.
