Rear Window (1998) - FILM ONLY REVIEW
Certificate: PG (UK)
Running Time: 89 Minutes
Director: Jeff Bleckner
Voyeurism is the act of observing the lives of others, often, though not always, for sexual gratification; it is a process by which the observer gets more satisfaction from viewing others than from experiencing their own lives. There is a little bit of this tendency in all of us, as what is watching a film if not opening up a window on the lives of others, be they real or fictional? It is no surprise, therefore, that the film industry has from time to time chosen voyeurism as the subject of its stories. A widely regarded classic of the theme is Alfred Hitchcock's 1954 film "Rear Window", an engrossing and suspenseful examination of what it is like to be a voyeur, first enforced by circumstance and later pursued ...

Advantages: very very fast!!! awesome wheelies!!! beats any car and most bikes! comfortable, cheap. Disadvantages: tank slap! no good for long distance (small tank) brakes too sharp in the wet!
manner its as good as it being thrashed on a track day!!! the only down sides i can think of are, the fuel tank doesnt last long! 120miles, and when moving it around at stand still, ie getting it out the garage, the turning circle is like a straight line, and trying to move it backwards wen sitting on the bike its very awkward, when off the bike, its got no grab handle, so its also very awkward!!!! (speacially if you slip!!!!) oh and in the wet the brakes are too sharp!!!!!!
id say.....zx9r 1999 model inj. 80%
....r1 2003 model inj. 95% ...

Advantages: Quick, Fast, exciting to ride and stylish.. as well as Japanese and reliable! Disadvantages: Twitchy front end on earlier models, needs stearing damper.
wheel does like to reach for the sky if you aren't careful (that may be what you want however)! :-)
The top speed is high at approx 180mph and it will get you there quickly!
I have also ridden my fathers 06 model and that has an amazing kick, they seem to have re-introduced a powerband or that is how it feels to ride anyway. The '99 model seems smoother in the power delivery although it does open open considerably the higher you go up the revs (understandable for a sports bike) where as the '06 seems to kick out the power after say 6,000rpm or thereabouts (not ridden the '06 a lot).
The design is great, sleak yet aggressive and there are so many things you can get to personalise/tune up/advance the handling to your R1!
One thing I found was the handling on the '99 model was twitchy coming out of corners. The rear suspension is soft ...
