Formula One Review 2006 (dvd) As with all F1 review DVD's this has the best moments from the whole season on it. 2006 was a great season for formula one with Renaults Fernando Alonso taking the World championship for a second year running and confirming his status as one of the best drivers in the world. Formula One

Advantages: Talented drivers, future changes
Disadvantages: Too predictable, no characters

by Ferarri and has become boring. It is also obvious that Ferarri have huge amounts of money to pump into their grand prix team. This means that they can produce the best and most reliable cars. The team only had two retirements between both drivers this season, far less than all of the other teams. This reliability difference is probably the equivalent of around 30 points per driver. If the other teams had more efficient cars then things would be a lot closer and more exciting. The number of changes made to the way that Formula 1 works, don't seem to have had an effect on the level of competition and excitement for viewers. The races do still follow a predictable sequence, where if one or two cars get ahead at the start they often win the race. Finding The Right Formula

Advantages: Excellent visuals and presentation in general, new career mode, 18 courses, challenging
Disadvantages: Initially very daunting, Career mode can seem unrewarding, some elements of the sound

Little did anyone guess that when Bizarre Creations finished what would be its last Formula One game for the Sony PlayStation in 1997, it would remain the best representation of its sport for so long a time. F1 '98 was a letdown of near-legendary proportions, and with Sony shifting development duties three times in as many years, the PSOne would not see the likes of Formula 1 '97 again. For the PS2 generation, things have settled down rather more for Sony. The games are no longer the subject of hype or anticipation, nor do they top the sales charts quite as frequently as they did in the nineties, but increasingly the official license is proving a real coup.
