Advantages: smells wonderful, gives loads of bubbles, leaves skin soft Disadvantages: None from me
.
The bath foam is a nice thick consistency and does kind of remind me of hair conditioner when I squeeze it from the bottle. The colour of this one is orange. I would have expected it to have been slightly more on the yellow side as this is my impressions of a vanilla colour. When you lift the flip lid there is clearly a vanilla fragrance which for me is wonderful. The smell does remain whilst I am in the bath for a good 20 minutes and after I get out of the bath I am still able to slightly smell the fragrance on my skin.
~~RESULTS~~
For me I have had no problems with this product and have had no skin irritations from using it. I have found my skin is left lovely and soft when I have used it in the bath and the smell for me is just excellent. I have let hubby user this when he has showered just so I can get his results and he too found no ...
Advantages: sweet smell, left my skin feeling nice Disadvantages: slightly icky colour of bath water!
Amongst the relatively new offerings from Lush nestles this, the Vanilla Fountain bath ballistic. Unlike the usual bath 'bomb', this one isn't spherical, but more of a pudding shape (see pic above) - which makes it more of a 'bombe' (pudding) than 'bomb', right! Yeah, I know - cooking puns die a sudden death, but hopefully my title now makes sense!
I'm not usually much of a ballistic fan (I prefer the bubble bar slices) but the simplicity of this (read: no horrible bits to float about your bath!), plus the description - "Comforting vanilla... with a touch of restful sandalwood and a note of burnt caramel" - was enough incentive to at least try it. And reader: I liked it so much I went out and bought another!
Now, much as I like vanilla there are limits, and I'm pleased to report that this isn't overwhelming sickly-sweet. In fact ...
Advantages: Nice long lasting fragrance, kind to the skin Disadvantages: I couldn't stand bathing in the colour and the scum in the bath was hard to remove
poking out the top of it which after asking in store what an earth it was I was told by staff rolling their eyeballs at me that it is actually a dried vanilla pod! It smells quite heavily of vanilla but has the edge taken off that smell with a sweetness which is made up of jasmine and tonka bean along with the vanilla absolute so it's a bit of a mixture really and Lush themselves call this a pudding ballistic based on a creme brulee.
So you run the taps of your bath and fling this all in. It fizzes alot and then within a minute it just disperses and melts. I went out of my bathroom came back in and my bathroom was heavily and heavenly scented but I seriously couldn't believe my eyes! My water had gone a fluorescent lime green which sent my eyes funny and the smell didn't match the colour of my bath and I was off put.
However I got in ...
